The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has published revised floodplain maps for Back Creek and several tributaries. Augusta County will hold a Community Meeting regarding the revised floodplain maps on Tuesday September 2, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Wilson Volunteer Fire Company, 892 Mt Torrey Road, Lyndhurst, VA. At the meeting, county, state and federal officials will be present to explain the map changes and discuss the appeal process and potential impacts to property owners.
