Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the County. This includes establishing and maintaining effective controls over the County's financial activities, accurate and timely financial information, and support of the overall County fiscal management.
The Finance Department provides services that include the following:
- Processing accounts payable
- Miscellaneous billing and receivables
- Maintaining a fund accounting system
- Providing timely financial reports for management purposes
- Conducting financial analysis
- Annual audit and financial report preparation
- Assist in the development of the County budget
- Debt issuance and management
- Capital asset monitoring
- Grant administration and reporting
- Centralized purchasing and procurement functions
- Risk management
- Ambulance billing
The County is fiscal agent for Shenandoah Valley Social Services, Shenandoah Valley Animal Service Center, Shenandoah Valley Regional Program, and Valley Career and Technical Center.
