A Message from Fire-Rescue Chief Greg Schacht
I would like to welcome you to our site and appreciate you for taking the time to learn more about Augusta County Fire-Rescue. You will notice as you move through our site that we provide an all-hazard service to our citizens, visitors, and surrounding communities.
Augusta County Fire-Rescue is a combination system that provides this service from 17 fire-rescue stations. We operate under our core value of “One Department, One Family” and we have an amazing group of men and women that live our mission, vision, and values. They strive to provide a high quality of service to our citizens, visitors, and surrounding communities. It is humbling and a true honor to lead and work alongside such an amazing group of men and women.
I would like to express our gratitude to the entire Augusta County community for your continued support of Augusta County Fire-Rescue and we vow to continue to provide you with the services you deserve.

Community Announcement: Collecting Donations for Flood Victims in Southwest Virginia and North Carolina
Augusta County is calling for donations of new items to send to flood victims in SW Virginia and North Carolina. The first and time-sensitive request calls for supplies to be flown on Oct 4-5. A semi-truck shipment of collected donations will follow.

Sandbags Available to Augusta County Residents and Businesses
Augusta County is offering sand and sandbags to residents and businesses in anticipation of potential flooding as a result of Hurricane Helene. Residents who expect flooding may bring a shovel and fill bags.
