Household Hazardous Waste Day at Waynesboro City Shop

  • Introduction: The following products will be accepted:
    CFL & Fluorescent Bulbs, Gasoline, Polyurethane, Oil-based Paints & Stains, Herbicides, Pesticides, Solvents: Acidic and Basic, Propane tanks, Mercury Devices

For residents of Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro

When: Saturday, September 21, 2024

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Where: Waynesboro City Shop
900 Essex Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980

The following products will be accepted:
CFL & Fluorescent Bulbs, Gasoline, Polyurethane, Oil-based Paints & Stains, Herbicides, Pesticides, Solvents: Acidic and Basic, Propane tanks, Mercury Devices

The following products WILL NOT be accepted:

  • Hazardous materials from businesses [This event is for households only, per EPA and DEQ regulations.] 
  • Unknown or unlabeled containers
  • Electronics; televisions; water-based paint; household batteries; vehicle tires - Take to the Landfill
  • Motor Oil; Diesel Fuel; Transmission Fluid; Kerosene; Hydraulic Oil; Lamp Oil - Recycle at the Landfill
  • Medications: Dispose of at the Sheriff’s office
