Remember, the burning law is in effect from February 15 - April 30 each year**. During this time, you may not begin burning until 4pm and cannot add any new fuel to the fire after Midnight.

Prior to conducting a controlled burn in Augusta County, you will need to contact the Augusta County Emergency Communications Center at 540-245-5061 to provide the location of the burn. The information you provide will be logged into our computer system and will be accessible in the event a neighbor or passerby would happen to report a fire in the area.
